Building an inground pool in your backyard is a fantastic decision, and the experts at Energy Center-Manhattan Pool are with you for every step. The addition of a backyard pool transforms your home into a unique space where you can spend time with friends or unwind in solitude. You have the creative freedom to design a pool that perfectly complements your yard, choosing from a variety of shapes, sizes, and enticing features. Regardless of your style, be it classic or contemporary or somewhere in between, our team can help you Design, Build, and Enjoy an impressive inground pool that aligns with both your preferences and your budget.

Design

Ready to design your dream backyard?

Step one is to meet with our team of experts, or some future pool owners choose to have a consultation by phone. Let them know what ideas you have (it’s okay if you’re not sure) and they’ll work with you to start turning your dream backyard into reality. Next, there will be a site visit to your backyard to determine where the pool will be, the elevation variations in your yard, and the necessary accessibility for our equipment.

The next step is creating a proposal to confirm you’re interested in furthering the conversation. We’ll take your favorite shapes, colors, and features… combine those with the information we found during our site visit… and we’ll create an incredible 3D rendering showing what your backyard will look like. This process can take some time, so we ask for a small deposit to hold your place in line.

We’ll continue to work together – you and our team members – to fine-tune the 3D rendering until we have a final agreement and your deposit will be applied to the build contract. This 3D rendering is so accurate that it’s used as construction plans for the project.

Build

The construction process for an inground pool.

A vinyl-liner pool, on average, takes 4-8 weeks to build. A concrete pool, sometimes called a shotcrete or gunite pool, takes approximately 8-16 weeks to build. As with any construction project, the time it takes varies based on the complexity of the project and – as Kansas residents know all too well – the weather.

Our team of experts will walk you through the choice of a vinyl liner pool compared to a concrete pool, making sure the final product matches your wishes and your budget. There are lots of steps to building a backyard swimming pool, from excavation to plumbing/electrical, pouring pads for all of the equipment, and even the decks/patios and landscaping that happens later.

You will work with a dedicated Energy Center-Manhattan Pool project manager for the duration of your pool project, so you know who to contact anytime you have any questions or concerns. Our team will stay in constant communication through fencing and landscaping, and we’ll even show you how to use your brand new swimming pool.

Types of Swimming Pools at
Energy Center-Manhattan Pool

These are the different types of pools we build

Inground Pools

Inground pools come in various shapes, sizes, designs, and finishes. They are customized to fit the preferences, budget, and space available.

Semi-Inground Pools

A semi-inground pool is partly buried, blending the strength of inground pools with the flexibility of above-ground pools. These pools are ideal for yards that may require a retaining wall or in yards with slopes.

Above Ground Pools

An above-ground pool is placed on the surface of your yard, providing an affordable option for backyard swimming.

Above-ground pools come in various depths, ranging from around 48 inches to 54 inches. The depth depends on the specific model and design.

Swimming pools are versatile and, because we offer different types of pools, we can install them on various surfaces, including grass, gravel, concrete, and even some types of decking. What’s important for all pool types is that the ground is level and can provide adequate support.

If DIY is your specialty, an above ground pool from Energy Center-Manhattan Pool can be installed yourself. If not, we have professionals ready to install your beautiful above ground pool. Not only will this ensure that the job is done correctly, it also reduces your liability if an accident or injury occurs during installation. Our team of experienced technicians can help you set up your pool to get started on all of the amazing memories that await.

Pools should be cleaned weekly to remove debris, skim the surface, brush the walls, and vacuum the floor. Regular maintenance also includes checking and adjusting chemical levels, inspecting pool equipment, and ensuring proper water circulation for optimal cleanliness.

The cost of pool maintenance includes chemicals, equipment, water, and electricity. Additionally, budget for occasional repairs, seasonal opening and closing expenses, and unexpected issues. Regular maintenance can help prevent major repairs and keep overall costs manageable.
